Frequently Asked Questions
When should I RSVP?
The sooner the better, so that we can start arranging transportation and additional activities for everyone on a rolling basis. Please RSVP no later than January 31, 2025 on our website.
Do I need a passport?
If you would like to return home, please bring your passport (or passport card for U.S. citizens). Global Entry is also highly recommended.
Can I drive across the border / do I need a car?
Yes, you definitely can drive from San Diego and Los Angeles. Please see the Travel page though and reach out to us if you plan to drive yourself (either your own car or rental car) - we can provide more detailed instructions. Transportation to/from San Diego is very easy to arrange and can be done fairly inexpensively and we will help everyone coordinate based on travel schedules. We already have a transportation provider who we will send more details about once we receive your RSVP.
If you are coming for just the long weekend and plan on participating in all of our weekend events, then you will not need a car. Our Friday events are on site at Hotel Andana and we will provide transportation for our Saturday and Sunday activities. However, we know some of you are more adventurous and interested in exploring the areas between San Diego, Tijuana, Ensenada, and Valle de Guadalupe, in which case a car will be helpful.
What will the weather be like in late May?
Valle de Guadalupe weather is similar to that of San Diego. In May, the temperature will likely be warm in the daytime and cool at night, with highs of 70’s-80’s and lows in the 50’s. Please dress accordingly and bring layers! IMPORTANTLY - when searching on Apple Weather, look at “Francisco Zarco”, not “Valle de Guadalupe” (which defaults to another area further south near Cabo).
What should I wear?
Please see our Wedding page for more details, but note that most restaurants and wineries in Valle de Guadalupe are al fresco, either outdoors or open air, so please bring layers with you and dress accordingly for evening activites.
Can I fly into Tijuana International Airport?
Flying directly into or out of Tijuana would definitely save you time getting to or from Valle de Guadalupe. However, there are only a few direct flights each week from the US to Tijuana (from Phoenix and Las Vegas on certain days of the week). For our international friends, or anyone coming from Mexico, you may find that flying through Tijuana is the easiest option.
Can we bring our kids?
While we love your little ones, our wedding weekend will be an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!
