It all began here.
Many of you know that Valle de Guadalupe holds a special place in our hearts. This is where we spent our first weekend together in August 2018 (photo evidence from Vinos Pijoan above), when we started our long-distance relationship between Boston and San Francisco. Since then, we have returned countless times, and we are still blown away each time by the incredible food, wine, scenery, and hospitality.
But don’t just take our word for it! We couldn’t be more excited to invite you all here to experience it for yourselves. See below for a rough itinerary of our weekend events, which are still being finalized:

La Cocina de Doña Esthela
No trip to Valle is complete without breakfast here. A cheesemaker by trade, Blanca Esthela Martínez Bueno (“Doña Esthela”) moved to Ensenada 28 years ago to wash clothes. Humble and hardworking, she then began preparing burritos for local students and for workers who were building the wineries. Her delicious meals quickly spread by word of mouth, and La Cocina de Doña Esthela was born. People come from all over the area and line up before sunrise to taste what Anthony Bourdain and Gordon Ramsay enjoyed!
Attire: Casual
Sunday, May 25
Following this final event, we will spend the rest of the afternoon drinking wine, relaxing by the pool or at the spa, and playing padel at Hotel Andana. Our last night in Valle would not be complete without another incredible dinner, likely at our favorite restaurant Animalon or [ ]. We welcome everyone to join us and stay through Sunday night, with transportation back to San Diego on Monday morning, if schedules allow!
